Homemade whipped cream is quite easy to make – its definitely far better than the store bought whipped cream. What make it stand apart is, you can monitor what goes in and its sans preservatives
INGREDIENTS
- ½ cup , chilled cream
- ½ cup lite sour cream (optional)
- ¼ cup sugar – I used turbinado (sugar from the raw) but had to grind it before mixing it with the cream
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS
- Combine the cream, sour cream, vanilla and sugar in a medium bowl.
- Use an electric mixer to whip them to stiff consistency.
- Chill it until using.

Homemade whipped cream doesn’t stay fresh for a long time (remember no preservatives), so use it within a day or so
