Shedding leaves seems to be common when the plant is kept indoors - typically my curry leaf plants lost its leaves/shoots when left indoors. I wonder if you can move your plant outside - depending on where you live. If that were the case, I wouldn't expose it to full sunlight immediately - you don't want to shock your plants. You want to gradually expose it to sunlight. I would suggest leaving it in the shade/patio for couple of weeks before leaving it in the sunlight. Hope that helps.

Hi,

I find your website to be informative and especially I like your pictures and the narration. Your composition and color hues are great.

I need your inputs and here is my story of curry leaf plant. I bought 2 ft curry leaf plant online a month a ago. once it established, I transplanted into a bigger container . I was happy with the purchase. It started to have new leafs. After couple of weeks, surprisingly it started budding flowering. It has been in that state for a while. All of a sudden it started to shed the leafves. It almost lost around 20 shoots and now the plant has only around 10 shoots.

Initially I placed near the east window and now moved to the west side window. I am talking to it, taking care, watering only when the surface is dry. What ever, I am doing isn't working. I have been reading various posts to get insights either.

Please if someone has any solution to it,pass it on. I am desperate and I want to see my plant lively and happy again.

Parul, Glad to hear that your curry leaf berries have germinated. Couple of years ago, my curry plants had a heat stroke as well - I did move it to a place with afternoon sunlight and my curry plant is doing great.

Its a different story with the berries/germination though - I gave the baby plants to few of my plants and they didn't have much luck growing them.

I had posted earlier, Due to the heat here and my mistake my plant got a heat stroke and the half ripe berries wilted. I immediatley planted them after removing the outer skin. It is 10 days now and almost all seeds have germinated. to the stage of the picture above..... thx

That's really interesting to see the small plants germinating in the pots during Winter. May be you can photograph (Macro Mode) once in two weeks to see the trails of thier growth.
