The other day I skimmed through the book The Sneaky Chef by Missy Chase Lapine. Basically the author lays out simple straightforward strategies for hiding good stuff in foods what kids love to eat. I think the idea holds good for everyone wanting to consume healthy stuff
I got inspired by the book and thought I should try hiding something healthy on Indian cuisine. What immediately came to my mind was Dosai. My little one at home loves crispy dosai and thought I should try hiding flax meal in dosai – Flax seeds contain high levels of lignans and Omega-3 fatty acids.

Took about a cupful of batter, mixed in a tablespoon of flax meal and made crispy dosai as you would normally fry a dosai. To be honest, I didn’t find any sacrifice in taste and was glad that I tried. My next experiment is try this on Chapathi

Awesome Sasi!
Nice way to trick kids…
BTW when did you open “Sasi Bhavan” restaurant… my mouth waters looking at dosai…
